Recipe: Beauty Elixir Bowl

My answer to, “What vitamins and supplements do you take, Emily?” is real simple. I take a Garden of Life once daily prenatal multivitamin and I eat the rest of my vitamins. 🍌 🍎 🍓 🥝  🍑

This is my favorite bowl for days when I want to feel ultra feminine and glow from the inside out. It’s got all the goodies in it, especially for my ladies. I try and eat this Beauty Elixir Bowl once a week. The benefits of this bowl helps to ease the stress in our bodies, lowing our cortisol levels and balancing out our Earth Suits to find a happy homeostasis.

Note: if you’re feeding men and kiddos, call this bowl the, “Entire Ice Cream Truck.” (Reframe!)👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Beauty Elixir Bowl 👸🏻  👸🏼  👸🏽  👸🏾  👸🏿

Blend for base:

1/2 C Almond milk (unsweetened)

1/3 C Mango (frozen)

1/3 C Blueberries (frozen)

1/2 Frozen acai pack

1/2 T Raw honey (or maple syrup)

1 T Almond butter

Top with:

1 T Coconut flakes

1 T Banana flax seed granola

1/2 T Bee pollen

1/2 T Cacao nibs (unsweetened)

1/2 T Goji berries

1/2 T Crushed almonds

1/2 T Hemp seeds

1/2 T Chia seeds

1/2 T Raw honey

Benefits:

Almond milk (unsweetened): Low in calories. Doesn’t raise blood sugar. High in Vitamin D. Dairy free.

Mango: Helps prevent cancer. Lowers cholesterol. Clears the skin. Improves eye health. Alkalizes whole body. Promotes healthy sex drive. Improves digestion. Helps fight heat stroke.

Blueberries: Helps ward off heart disease. The blueberry’s fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin C vitamin B6 and phytonutrient content, coupled with its lack of cholesterol, all support heart health. The fiber in blueberries helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood.

Acai berry: Promotes heart health. Anitoxidant. Aids in weight loss. Promote skin health. Helps digestion. Reduces respiratory distress. Helps keep cells strong against invasion of free radicals. Boosts immunity. Anti-aging. Energy booster. Encourages healthy sex drive. Improves mental function.

Raw honey: Antioxidant. Antibacterial and antifungal properties. Heals wounds. Filled with phytonutrients. Helps digestive issues. Soothes a sore throat.

Maple syrup: Boosts immunity. Helps maintain a healthy heart. Aids in male reproductive health. Its packed with vitamins and minerals: Calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus sodium, potassium, zinc, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and B6.

    Looks delish! I had my first acai bowl this weekend from a food truck and it rocked my world! Mine had kiwi which is my fave.
    Where do you get the frozen acai packs, Whole Foods maybe?

      Yum!!! Love kiwi. Makes my mouth water thinking about it. Yes, acai packs are near the ice cream isle at Whole Foods! 🙂
