This post is sponsored by Nature’s Way. I’m excited to be partnering with the brand to celebrate its 50th Birthday! Since 1969, Nature’s Way has been helping people live their best lives through the gifts of nature.
Coconut oil is incredibly essential in my pantry, and equally versatile. Not only is it edible, but it can also double as makeup remover, lip and under-eye moisturizer, and hair conditioner!
I swap out many fats and oils in my recipes for Nature’s Way Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil because I love the sweet, natural flavor it delivers to the palette...melts in my mouth! Not only do I test recipes over and over again in my kitchen, but I also test ingredients. I scour the aisles in grocery stores reading labels and I love to figure out how brands manufacture and process their ingredients.
This obsession started when we learned of Oliver’s severe food allergies, a journey that has taught me so much about the importance of using pure, non-contaminated ingredients.
One of several reasons why I will only use Nature’s Way Organic Coconut Oil is because the product is not manufactured in a peanut facility—most coconut oils are! Which means you could be getting a product that’s not purely coconut. To be sure your oil is not manufactured in a peanut facility, simply read the back of the label to see if they put a (usually small) warning on the label. If there is no warning or written disclosure, the next step is to reach out to the brand’s customer service and request the information.
I’ve already taken this step for you, and Nature’s Way is pure pure pure!
Because Oliver is anaphylactic to peanuts, I can’t risk the cross-contamination. When I’m shopping, I always look for the purest ingredients and highest quality manufacturing and processing to ensure safety and purity. I also look for a good deal, and Nature’s Way’s offers more oil in their tubs, which is great because we go through it often in our house!
I’ve recently been adding Nature’s Way Organic Coconut Oil to my lips and under eyes while visiting my family in DC for the holidays and I do LOVE it.
